Equine Assisted Survivors
of Trauma (E.A.S.T.) Group

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope and the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center are collaborating to provide Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) as adjunct sessions to BRCC's psycho-educational group. The goal is to provide experiential learning that reinforces group sessions and focuses on life and coping skills for adult survivors of sexual trauma.

Equine Assisted Learning is a natural best practice in helping survivors of sexual trauma learn coping and self-management skills: EAL empowers while bringing quality and creativity to the therapy process. It is a holistic approach to the connecting process for survivors and serves as a safe refuge for putting into practice skills discussed in the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center's group sessions.
