Host a house party!
What is a house party?
A house party is a fast, easy and fun way to raise money and spread the word about the important work being done by the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center. The great thing about a house party is that anyone can be involved. No party is too big or too small. It can be anything from a movie night with friends to a large-scale sit-down dinner. Successful house party themes could include wine tastings, cookouts, Derby parties, Mother’s Day brunches, March Madness events, live music performances, birthday parties, etc.
The basics.
Having a house party is easy. As the host, you hold a party and invite the people you know. The host underwrites the costs associated with producing the party, so attendees know that 100% of the money they donate goes to the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center. The cost of food and supplies are tax deductible for the host. A portion of the ticket price is deductible for attendees.
At this event, people will have a chance to learn more about the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center and our efforts to provide comprehensive services to those affected by sexual violence as well as education/prevention efforts to the entire community. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about BRCC and to donate money so that we can continue our efforts to serve the people of Central Kentucky. The rest of the party details are up to you!

Consider a co-host or a host committee to join you in supporting the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center. BRCC will have a house party kit available to aid you in planning your party. Staff are also available to assist in the development of your party including brainstorming themes, providing informational materials, giving you sample invitations and forms, and attending the event to answer questions and share information about the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center.
