Identifying Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is against the law. If you are caught in a bad situation, you are not alone and help is available. If you are a victim of human trafficking, we can assist you by providing:

  • Case management services
  • Assistance accessing various services such as: Housing, food, clothing, medical care, other needed services
  • Language interpretation counseling services
  • Crisis counseling and therapy
  • Legal advocacy
  • Assistance with accessing legal services including immigration relief for eligible victims of human trafficking
  • Assistance in reporting a crime to the police, obtaining a protective order, and safety planning
  • Life-skill education and after-care services
  • Referrals to English classes, employment assistance, and long-term counseling needs

Community education and inter-agency trainings about human trafficking are available. If you are part of an organization or group that would like more information about educational opportunities please contact BRCC. We can:

  • Organize and facilitate agency-specific training for front-line providers
  • Develop and distribute educational materials
  • Provide information about referral resources
